Jessica Elliott possesses a life-long love of the arts. Her passion for acting and writing lead her to the University of Calgary where she successfully completed the Theatrical Studies program. She furthered her academic endeavours by attending Capilano College in Vancouver to study Management for the Arts and Entertainment Industry.

While attending school Jessica worked at Birks Jewellers and rekindled her love and talent for jewellery design. After graduation she took on a senior role with the Armani store at Harry Rosen. Her natural flair for style and experience in the fashion industry fuelled her to set up part-time as a stylist and wardrobe organizer.

 With her academic and professional background in fashion and the arts Jessica recognised a gap in the market for a clothing store that offered unique and high-quality products and service. Jessica teamed up with her mother, Deborah who shares the same passions and vision and in October 2007 The Velvet Room Boutique opened its doors.

 The Velvet Room Boutique offers the finest in exclusively Canadian designed and produced fashion items, and also acts as a showcase store for Coral Moon Designs, a range of jewellery designed in collaboration by Jessica and Deborah. At The Velvet Room Boutique Jessica has the perfect outlet to utilise her artistic, fashion and entrepreneurial talents.
