is now accepting applications for the fall term.
Candidates must
have
specific skills and talents along with the desires to work in
a
multi-faceted
company setting new trends in the Canadian Fashion Industry.
This position will suit mature graduate of a fashion marketing, design
or
commutations program or an individual who is seeking a career change
and has a strong interest in the Fashion Industry, both retail and
wholesale
sectors.
Internship details:
Sept-Dec 8-12 hours a week (non-paid)
The Candidate must have a well rounded background in customer service,
small business, sales or the equivalent education. Excellent computer
skills are essential.
Applications will be
accepted for one of the following categories:
1) Fashion
Retail: styling, sales, inventory, retail management, merchandising,
quality control, fashion marketing, and product sourcing.
2) Fashion
Retail/Design: experienced in fashion design, production, samples,
pattern making, expert seamstress, knowledge of working with silk,
leather,
knits and 5 thread serger.
3)Fashion
Retail/Communications: experience with social media marketing,
press releases, public relations, photo-journalism,
4)Fashion
Retail/Graphic Design: experience with illistrator, photoshop,
video editing, dreamweaver, HTML, wordpress, Zencart.
(Experience with any or all of the above along with journalism,
photography,
frontpage or dreamweaver, wordpress, is an asset.)
The Intern is required to be available for a minimum of one 5
hour shift (Mon-Fri), additional hours are flexible.
The
candidate must be truly ready to take on a fast paced 'Internship' and
willing to work within the store’s philosophy and style.
